Jack Seattenie has announced he will be moving out of his house in Edmonton.
The Calgary Flames forward announced the move on Twitter Wednesday morning, with a video showing the former Flames forward with his new wife, Brittany Seaton, and a couple of kids.
It’s a pretty sad day.
Thanks to all my fans and the people of Calgary.
It has been a privilege to serve this great city, and I look forward to the new challenge and adventure of the next chapter.
Seaton, 30, who spent the past two seasons with the Flames, is entering the final year of his contract with the team.
The Flames have been in the midst of an extended rebuild and have a record of 8-15-2.
The last time Seaton played for the Flames was back in 2013-14.
The move leaves a vacancy on the Flames blueline, which could be filled by a trade.
The club announced Thursday that center Ryan Garbutt, who was with the club through training camp, has been reassigned to the Calgary Hitmen.
The Flames have one more game remaining before the deadline and are scheduled to host the St. Louis Blues on Saturday.
