Skymesh moved to new home in Melbourne

LIVERPOOL, New South Wales — A family of two has bought a three-bedroom house on the NSW north coast for $4 million.

It is the first of several homes to be built in the state’s north for about $3 million and the second time in a week the family has moved.

“We bought the house because it is perfect for the kids and our two young boys,” said Sydney resident Paul MacKay.

The family is in the process of moving into a five-bedroom home on a farm in Penrith.

The property is expected to be ready for occupancy by the end of this year.

“The house is so beautiful it’s really hard to explain what to do with it,” said Mrs MacKay, a retired accountant.

“It’s a beautiful house, it’s got so much history behind it, there’s lots of history behind the house and it has all been put together and we’re just trying to make sure that it stays here,” she said.

It’s the first time the MacKays have bought a house in the south of the state and they hope it will be their next home.

They have lived in their Penruth house for 10 years.

“I’ve got a family of four here now and I just thought it was just a great time to move,” said Mr MacKay.

“It was a beautiful home, there were so many memories and we had lots of fun with the house, and I really like the area,” he added.

The MacKays are the first families to move into a house on Penrion in about three years.

Last week the State Government announced it had purchased the property for $3.5 million.

“They’re not expecting to be out for another two years and so they’ve got to put it back together so that we can put it into use as soon as possible,” said Deputy Premier David Chifley.

The state government also announced it would spend $1.2 million to construct a new playground at Penriona to provide more opportunities for children to play.

The development comes as the state has experienced a surge in house prices and the population continues to shrink.

“It does take a little bit of planning but we’re doing it, we’re building a playground,” Mr Chifleys said.

“So the next thing we’re going to do is have a playground for our children, that’s the way it is and we’ll start to look at other opportunities that can help,” he said.
