The ‘no frills’ house that would have been the home of the ‘No Frills’ bookie

The No Frills house in Beverly Hills is a “no frill” place, but that hasn’t stopped it from being a place that has become a fixture on the Beverly Hills real estate scene.

The Beverly Hills home was a regular fixture on our Best Real Estate list last year and in May 2017, we even got our hands on an early renderings for the house and asked people if they would be interested in purchasing it.

“I’m going to buy a house in the Beverly Hills,” one buyer told us.

So, what’s the deal?

The property was originally built in the early 1960s, but the home was bought by the Beverly Hill Neighborhood Association (BHNA) in 1997 and it was only in 2018 that it was given back to the Beverly Homeowners Association (BYA) as a public housing project.

The BHNA says that it is currently being renovated to house a new apartment, which is expected to take place in 2017.

BHNEA’s president said in a statement: “This historic home will be restored to its former glory and will be transformed into an inclusive, welcoming community.”
