2 women charged with carjacking, kidnapping in Jamaica house moving

Two women have been charged with kidnapping and carjumping a woman in Jamaica, authorities said Sunday.

The incident took place at a house on the city’s outskirts on April 1, according to a statement from the Jamaica Police Department.

The woman was reportedly in the back of a car with two other women, one of whom was pregnant, when they were accosted by the men, police said.

A struggle ensued, and the two women fled in the car.

One of the women, who was pregnant with the other woman’s child, was allegedly arrested, police added.

No one was injured in the incident, which happened in the neighborhood of Rua Cesar, a residential area, the police said in the statement.

Two other women were arrested on Saturday, and police are still investigating the kidnapping.

It was not immediately clear what led to the woman’s arrest.
